ECHO STUDY COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD TRAINING
21ST-23TH FEBRUARY 2018
Community Advisory Board (CAB) is a group of individuals drawn from the same community from which study participants are drawn to ensure that community norms and values are taken into consideration. They ensure community participation and give feedback to the study from the community.
It is established as an advisory and scrutiny body to help meet the study’s commitment to openness and transparency; to advise on questions of inclusivity; to act as a source of guidance on governance and operational issues that may arise from time to time. They ensure community participation and give feedback to the study from the community and vice versa.
The mission of the CAB is to provide opportunities for the community to understand clinical research; voice concerns from community regarding ECHO study, and represent the interests of the participants and the community at large.
